Panna Cotta

Updated: Mar 29

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups of cream

1 cup of milk

½ cup of sugar

4 tsp gelatin

4 tsp vanilla

Method:

Pour the milk, cream, and vanilla into a medium pot so the mixture will have space to bubble up. Heat it on medium-low while gently stirring with a wooden spoon to prevent it from burning on the bottom. Once it has come to a boil, turn off the heat.

Next, pour half of the sugar in and mix until combined. Once the sugar has been completely dissolved, add the other half and repeat.

Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the mixture and leave it for a minute. Then take a whisk and mix until all the gelatin is dissolved.

Take a spoon and hold it over your ramekins as you pour the panna cotta in; this helps prevent air bubbles. Make sure you leave the panna cotta out until it has cooled to room temperature before putting it in the fridge.

After refrigerating for around 4 hours, when they are ready, boil some water and dip the ramekins in for a few minutes until the sides start to melt a bit. Turn them out.  and enjoy!
